Programs - Competitive Team
Our team program is for
ages 7 & up, on an invitational basis only. When a student
has completed levels 1 through 3, she moves
to Preteam class in which to prepare them for
competitive team. Sequentially, students from
Preteam will move up to Level 4 classes and are
considered as competitive team. Classes then
progress from Levels 4 through 10. As with Level 1-3
classes, progressing through each level requires
demonstration of a specified set of skills. Students
in levels 4-10 attend classes 2-4 hours per day, up
to 6 days per week. Competitive gymnastics is
divided into two categories: Compulsory and
Optional. The Compulsory levels are 4, 5 and 6.
The Optional levels begin at 7 and continue on up to
Level 10 and then Elite.
Our team philosophy: We believe
in the overall wellness of our gymnasts. Our number one focus is our
gymnasts’ health and wellness. We believe that without health, you
cannot grow to your full potential in gymnastics. Our goal is to
provide the mental and physical discipline and education needed for
training and competition, within a framework of positive
reinforcement and encouragement. We will train our gymnasts to reach
their full potential while allowing them to enjoy the process! Life
goes by quickly, especially childhood. We want our athletes to look
back on their careers and say that they truly enjoyed learning the
sport of gymnastics.
